• It is NOT "insurance"

• It IS a share program

• You pay a monthly contribution into a shared pool

• This pool will mean you're voluntarily sharing medical expenses with other members

• There are waiting periods for things such as preventative care & surgeries

• There is a maximum benefit amount, and there is no guarantee of payment

• There is a large, one-time membership fee, typically $125

• You can cancel your membership at any time

• They have multiple options such as "Classic" or "Catastrophic" and more
